>>60941fair enough. you have to pretty much be autistic for this game to stick with you so you can memorize what the hundreds of items do and how complicated the game is. I think people overblow how much luck goes into this game but a lot of newer or less experienced people say so, which is fair. Getting lucky makes the game a lot easier but if you just don't take red heart damage, get some shop items, and make good plays you can win 99% of the time.
As for the aesthetic/themes, at least at the time it was a little more novel. Flash isaac was like 2011, so not crazy old but also not really the peak of indie or shock slop yet. People also seem to think the game is religion bad but its a bit more nuanced than that, isaac is shown feeling comfort in god watching over him, its just isaac's mom thats insane and its supposed to show that sometimes being overzealous can hurt a child. That stuff doesn't really matter that much anyway, the reason you are playing the game is because it has hundreds of items and thousands of little interactions to mess around with.
