Why: Lockeβs whole character arc is obsessive, sensory, and spiritual he fixesates on the Island and physical rituals (hunting, crawling through caves, touching the Islandβs strange things). Gooning is about surrendering to a single intense fixation, repeating rituals, and finding eroticized delight in loss of control; Locke is built for that: heβs driven by belief, displays ecstatic submission to the Islandβs will, seeks tactile communion (talking to the hatch, the black rock, the monster, the cabin), and willingly surrenders agency when he thinks it serves a higher purpose. His intensity, reverence for pain/ritual, and readiness to be consumed by a cause fit the goon archetype perfectly. Alternative: if you want a more chaotic, predatory goon vibe, Sawyer provides smug, addictive teasing energy, but for pure ritualized, deepest gooning Locke wins.
