i'm not too familiar with the band (i only tried the first album) but this is what i know
there was a splitup that happened between the band somewhere around 2017 or 2019 where the lead singer (Bart) who apparently owned the label of Batushka just sold it to Metal Blade Records presumably because of $$$. But that was contested by another band member (Drabikowski) who claimed that he owned it because he is the sovl of the band or something.
i heard that Bart wanted to make an album more quickly and reap the success of another album.
so in 2019 there was "two" Batushkas, one which was owned by metal blade and the other having releases over YT, i think . the releases via Metal Blade were bad and sold badly in contrast to the sovlfvl release by Drab which was actually good.
wyattxhim recounts a rumor whereby it's alleged that the Metal Blade Batushka just delayed orders and in the end just sent rubbish to those whom ordered the Litourgiya stuff bc their album was doing so fucking bad. they're no Bart's "Batushka" is no more now, and Drab fucking vvon AFAIK.
