basically one of the critiques was that 1. Tension Points are basically worthless as all they're used for are a stronger attack, healing, or sleep (which is useless with Susie being able to act so it might as well be scrapped) and 2. that Deltarune is barely an RPG at all to the point that Toby removed the RPG tag on steam so the class idea + learning more skills across the story would fix that problem. From there sparing and fighting to give xp as deltarune's equivalent to genocide isn't reliant on xp or levels and on leveling up you can influence how Kris' stats change and nobody else giving you more replayability as well
