Hey everyone, big announcement. Soycraft : MODDED EDITION VILL be launching SQQN, this Saturday!

The wiki page on HOW to join the server and install the modpack will be coming soon (Tomorrow), here is the list of 60 mods, you can either look at it or not, depending on how much of a surprise you'd like your playthrough to be. The server will be on version 1.12.2. Just keep in mind, three major new dimensions will be introduced, the aether, the twilight forest and galacticraft. There will also be immersiveengineering. The normal server will not be going anywhere.

After seeing 4/5 servers Let your heart be bright!, what I wondered is why did the jannies never seem to have a goal after the """nations""" server?

With the towny server, baritone at least had a goal. LARP as empires while not having massive grief. It worked for a while, server lasted a decent while.

But after that, it seemed like none of the servers really had a goal that the jannies moved it towards.

With the most recent vanilla server, it went factions to try not to grief spawn too bad to spawn being a safe zone, to being a democracy to then having neutral factions to now being… whatever the fuck it is now.

What is the PLAN for the server?

baritones formula worked because it was somewhat flexible.
If everyone agreed someone was a snowman then we all griefed his base and bari sat back and watched us. If someone LARP'd with someone else and blew raisin up it was fine, but if you wanted to nig around and grief then you got fucked. Neutrality was fine because we all agreed that you could pay tribute.

For example, I didn't need to fight even THOUGH I lived in a warzone because I paid tribute to Usnutt (I'm not great at PVP.). In return I built raisin and could focus on building.

Again, gameplay shouldn't STOP against someone, it should go AROUND them. If you don't want to fight, be a vassal for someone who does.

Mods that are APART of the community are great. Mods that monitor the community are a coin toss between raisin or cool.
