Making this thread since xuote herself wants to boost PPH here and also I sperg over this film.
<reddit spaceI can't stand seeing how negatively received this film was by the general public. There are a multitude of reasons for this and I want to address the main talking points of why this is and tell you why you're a retard for not liking this film.
>muh rapeClearly, this is one of the things most xitterspergs were chimping out about which is funny, since they never even show the assault take place, it's just heavily implied. Mostly it was fags crying that there was no trigger warning on the 18+ film about muh traumas even though this is a pivotal point to the film. These are the same retards that were crying about Dahmer not having a trigger warning, even though they showed nothing and the series is about a necrophiliac, hebephiliac serial killer notorious for dismembering corpses. They act as if there hasn't been anything more graphic in the Joker films.
>muh bad singingThis is by far the stupidest, and most regurgitated, critiques of the film. This is like saying that Arthur Flecks stand up comedy in the original film is bad. It's supposed to be bad, this is a fundamental part to Arthur's character. He has a profound desire to be viewed in a positive light and embraced, yet unable to do that he is isolated and tormented through his life. Firstly he looked to Murray as a role model/father figure for this, then becomes enamoured with Harley upon meeting her at the prison. He latches onto these role models in an attempt to identify himself as them, Arthur has nearly zero understanding of himself and is developmentally stunted from childhood abuse and isolation.
>muh foidYes, adding lady gaga was pretty dumb and served no purpose other than hyping the film up. Admittedly they could have just got any other singer off the street and cast her instead but I guess they just wanted to appeal to femcel larpers who would self insert as Harley.
