I almost got this game. Since my first impression of it came from a massive zelda dork that happend to be my teacher in middle school. Yet after playing my sibling's copy of Wind Waker on the WiiU I just didn't feel anymore interest for Zelda as a franschise so I never bothered with buying Twilight Princess. Didn't help that down the line my only exposure to it was 4cuck /v/pedos deraling threads all over their lust for Midna. Tainting my view of the game as a whole.

Unironically Super Mario 63 uses FLUDD better than Sunshine, since instead of forcing mario to a halt to hover in the air for a bit you get to use it to boost yourself all over the screen. In Sunshine FLUDD just feels like a stupid gimick that slows down Mario's movement and pads out game time by making the player clean up stains here and there.

Both Undertale and Battle Cats got big due to let's players featuring them on their channel and kids rushing to play them afterwards. However is Battle Cats that I got a real gripe with. Since the game is just gatcha slopa. With the typical six billion different in game currencies and resources to mask the time sink and lack of strategic depth. Is not even a gag game anymore what with it adding more and more tranime and event power creep. Is just one of many gateway drugs in to becoming another insufferable ESLnigger who defends the most predatory monitization and mind numbing time waster mobile schlock as being real "games".

I got bored and started replaying Don't Starve last week. Pretty kino. I can now tell why younger me spent over 200 hours on it. Despite having this gem rust away in my steam library for so many years. Might be the best bang for my buck I ever got from steam. Since I had it long enough to get both the Multiplayer succesor game and a couple of the DLC for free.

I don't think you understand the hype behind TP. They were treating it like it was going to be the last Zelda game you would have or want to buy for 15 years. The hype was never going to be matched and it literally took over 10 years for the bratty and spoiled millennial bitterness to mostly dissipate. I dislike most online games with absolutely zero progression. I wasted a lot of hours when I was younger on fps games and I have nothing at all to show for it, I don't even remember any moment of the couple hundred hours I spent on tf2. At least if you spend a gorillion hours in something like the 'craft you should have a few neat builds that you are proud of.
This doesn't really apply to singleplayer games, as they have to focus on making the game fun enough to replay instead of depending on mood swing gameplay where you crush the enemy team and then they crush you in exchange for shekels to increase your rank.
I find most walking simulators completely uninteresting, having a fully traversable and interactable map doesn't mean you have to make it boring as shit and empty. Mario Odyssey does this decently well, the worlds are all fully traversable with collectables to find yet they aren't a huge empty plains with nothing in it, you don't need a huge map to give a sense of exploration.
