>>52951We were probably going to lose anyway. The devs were dumb enough to make the reinforcement limit affected by the entire galaxy, make Vox Engines spawn almost as often as Hulks on level 7 despite being 5-6x more of a threat, the usual bad balancing, and a million glitches (Like enemy patrols spawning only 50 feet out directly in front of you when walking around, or enemies clipping through buildings and walls). The average player is a retard and decided that they NEED to play on level 7 or higher, which drained way more lives than needed. I understand trying out level 7 to see how things are, but not as a standard way to play the game when it's so obviously broken and completely unnecessary to beat the main objective. And that's before talking about the faggots that decided to try and cheat the game, causing us to lose a bit of legitimate progress as well as making the main objective much harder by requiring full operation completions instead of extractions.
I have a hard time deciding whether the devs or the fanbase are more retarded, but the burden of responsibility lies solely on the devs, because it's their fault they aren't doing a better job of making the game suit the people who play it and the advertising itself. They're not getting the milsim fanbase. They're not getting the "le grunt fantasy" non-existent fanbase. It's a hoard shooter by definition and they're running around like headless chickens.
They desperately need someone who can act as a bridge between the actual playerbase (Meaning not Reddit and discord fags) and the way the game is balanced. People like the idea of Helldivers II, they don't like how it's being handled. They need to get this stupidity under control, because I'm seeing a lot of 343 Indistries/Halo Studios self-importance, incompetence, and even disdain for the players coming from the developers. This franchise is going to be a DNB like Halo if they don't get their act together and get a more coherent and stronger vision for the gameplay.
