'Teens, thoughts on /soy/berpunk 2077? Personally I'm liking the setting so far, but the main part of the game is so disappointing… I don't like V as a protagonist, how the story doesn't fit an open world game and railroads you into being an pushover who easily gets attached to people you barely met. People pretend it's like a mix of Fallout and Deus Ex, but in reality it's more like a compilation of Call of Duty cutscenes but all the action is condensed into just a few parts. If you're not interested in being a surrogate therapist for a parasite in your brain or some labubu lesbian who edits porn for a living then there's not much in it for you outside of the japanese guy's missions, and if you do only them you end up with the second worst ending ever.
I might be biased though since i've only seen the base game. Hope the DLC is better but i won't play it now since i'm a bit burned out from being teased by how much better it could've been

Also the worldbuilding of the city is a bit half-assed. Cyberspace, the gangs and stuff like gambling, merc hangout spots, street racing and fight clubs should've been a much bigger deal in the game than they actually are. Im about a quarter through it and so far it's not bad but it clearly has soul killing nigger garbage in it like the president being a woman and V not calling her out on her slimy behaviour. Dlc V also feels different from base game v, his line delivery is more serious and sounds kind of tired and defeated.
Gigs are better than base game in quality but still fail to be unique from a storytelling and gameplay perspective (the gig where you do drugs and play as Hansen was pretty kino though).
I like that they added crackheads that chase you around while skizobabbling. The "police" of the area is pretty incompetent and boring to fight. I had a civilian killing session that lasted 20 minutes with minimal interference from hansens goons, i even one shot the big robots around the main road on very hard difficulty.
The new guns are pretty cool however the new iconic cyberware has boring modifiers.
This game is still not worth the price and is riddled with bugs.
