>>55877>>55855I get called both a caca and an oldfag for my ranking GEG
I'm not too sure where to rank the Jews&Chuds update, raids aren't a bad feature, and actually being able to find villages and not having to deal with random villager professions is a good change. I do think that the trades are simultaneously op and too expensive doebeit, villagers shouldn't really sell diamond gear and these kikes charge too much for iron gear. The trading and enchanting system needs a complete rework for it to fit into progression better, trading should give you mid tier enchanted iron gear, and enchanting should be more like potions where with the right "ingredient" you can get the books you want. Trading shitloads of sticks in exchange for mending, prot IV and a full set of diamond armour is incredibly boring and doesn't work great. Mending itself is a whole other issue.
Maybe 1.14 is anthracite instead? I'm not too sure about the placement, I did enjoy the features a lot initially but over time the new trading hall and mending meta has gotten stale
<reddit spaceI'm not actually an oldfag. I started playing around 1.8.9. The flat terrain is boring as shit, Its more interesting to see weirdly generated structures than plains biome village number thrembo. 1.9 combat was weirdly better than what came after it, such as shields not blocking all sword damage, but they changed that for some reason. I played the beta 1.8-1.17 terrain, I played the 1.18 terrain, and I played the beta 1.7 terrain, and I prefer the old terrain because its the most fun. Theres still plenty of flat places too, its not like it would be impossible for a structure to generate. Woodland mansions are kino but they need to be more common, or Mojang needs to add a new world create feature like the legacy console worlds where biomes and structures are all a lot closer.
1.14 and 1.11 both changed the game a lot with the trading/mending meta, and the elytra with fireworks. Mojang will never revert these changes or mess with them in a good way, so its hard to suggest a way for the base game to change, but i don't give a fuck since I don't play the latest version anyway. I have a 1.16 world that I've built some cool shit in, and otherwise I mess with beta 1.7. Prob
