Today is the 20th anniversary of a very underrated game that was unique and revolutionary at the time. At first glance it may seem like a clunky and a very complex game, but it's easy to learn - hard to master and is almost flawlessly balanced, at high level play the game really stands the test of time.
Dark Messiah (of might and magic) Multiplayer is a team work class based CTF, TDM, DM, Duel, and Crusade (Multiplayer campaign) set in a fantasy world with a dynamic leveling system where you can play as fast tank Fighter, a stealthy backstabber/bomber/trapper Assassin, a ranged jack-of-all-trades Archer, a team support/healer or enemy curser/debuffer Priestess, and a horde control ranged damager Lightning or generalist power house Fire Mage - for each class you can quickly learn new skills, spells, upgrades and build your own set, up to level 10! Even at level 2-3 you get your bread and butter primary weapons, and even if you slightly damage high level classes - you get more exp and thus level up faster.
You are given plenty of abilities, such as leap jump instakill slash, shield train wreck, magic shield and mass team buff of Fighter; going invisible, disguise, fake death, fast silent running backstabs, explosive enemy-trigger-traps or remote detonating bombs of Assassin; piercing armor and shield drill bolts, slow down and curse arrows, or instakill upclose double/tripple arrows (that you can also set on fire) Archer; mass team healing, stoneskin damage-resistance buffing, (mass) resurrecting defeated teammates or long range cursing, blinding, poisoning, slow down bramblefield creating Priestess; and Mouse-Guided Fireballs, Sticky Firebombs or long range charging Lightning Bolts and high-risk high-reward Lightning Orbs.
To pay this masterpiece a tribute, we plan to revive it and launch a humble event where we can play together. And even update it with fresh, never seen before Multiplayer open area map!
The first event starts at 29th 8 PM UTC - CTF.
The second, official event is on the 30th Sunday at 7 PM - Crusade.
