>that's not exactly how I remembered it 30 years ago! It is… LE BAD!!!!Then they go ahead and worship genuinely bad remakes/remasters anyway.
I've noticed that faithful remakes and remasters that add meaningful content get blasted for not being the same, and remakes that warp the original really hard get worshiped. OoT and MM 3D get hit the hardest, the dungeons aren't dark enough (a fair and frankly correct opinion), but they use this point of real criticism to shoehorn their way into getting mad at literally every other change in the game because their nostalgia wasn't coddled to a degree where it becomes detrimental to a remake. I've seen people get genuinely upset about the 3D model of the bottle on OoT 3D. They even get mad about the 2D images used in the inventory screen. It really shows people haven't been paying attention to all of the official art that Nintendo has been using for almost 30 years and are just counting on their memories of playing it a week before Wind Waker released.
Anyway, yeah, most people have bad opinions when it comes to video games. They get caught up in their personal emotions and very flawed memories and can't look past them to see a project for what it really is.
