Part 2 is somehow inferior in my opinion. Animation clips are too smooth, graphics are more "shiny" compared to dark and gloomy locations from part 1, there's no permadeath from falls and it's too crowded with NPCs, it lacks that atmosphere of loneliness. And no boss rush of course. Story is raisin too, first part had it original, but second is simply retelling the bible.

However it's rather a parasitic larvae-like entity feeding on fear of worshippers. Penitent one worships some different entity which has created the cherubs. They are clearly against miracle bc they resurrect him + they're kept in cages. He bears curse of immortality until the miracle's defeated. However I don't understand suicide ending on the ash pile (looks like I need a Blasphemous lore SNCA thread geeg)
