I can understand why they dislike extreme long distance sports like cross-country running as your body just shrivels into a gross skeletal mess with freakish callouses all over your feet

But going on hourly jogs or occasional runs outdoors is fun, increases recovery rate in the gym, helps your heart and makes your calves have actual function
