I also tried to get a jew card once, but they were ghosting me at the time because they were doing some kind of refurbish o algo. Eventually i got tired of even contacting them over anything and they shut it down anyway (it wasnt that annoying, but my tolerance threshold for jewish administration bs is extremely low). After that, I dont explicitly plan on getting a jew card ever in my life, if i can help it. nixos on the desktop is pretty useless. an atomic OS like fedora silverblue would suit you more.
nixos for other devices and dev, however? very good! you can build images, get the most niche software imaginable, create dev environments and so much more in an easy to use language. the learning curve is very bad but its manageable if you care enough.
