<Actually, soyjak, if you were paying attention, Kaguya was being subtly foreshadowed the entire time.
<Think about it: did you never once question why there was only one Black Zetsu, especially after we saw his supposed "birth" during Obito's backstory? Why wouldn't Madara imbue his will into every Zetsu?
<Now consider the Uchiha clan's stone tablet. The greater one's eye power becomes, the more of the truth it reveals. A similar pattern plays out as the truth about the main villain is gradually revealed:
<When Sasuke awakens his Mangekyō Sharingan, we get the truth about Itachi and part of the truth about "Madara."
<When Obito gets a Rinnegan, the truth about the real Madara and Obito is revealed
<Finally, when Madara casts the Infinite Tsukuyomi and Sasuke's Rinnegan is awakened, the full truth erupts in a final crescendo: Kaguya, the manipulation of Madara, the stone tablet, and the true purpose of the Infinite Tsukuyomi.
<Notice the recurring theme: each level of deception is peeled back when someone reaches the next level of eye power.
<Obito kept the full truth from Sasuke. Madara kept the full truth from Obito. It is merely the logical next step that someone was keeping the full truth from Madara.
<As you can see, soyjak, it was being subtly hinted all along that an ultimate true villain was lurking one layer deeper than Madara.

Did people really hate this? I've never been active in any Naruto circles online and haven't watched since i was 13 but i remember thinking Kaguya was cool
