I think my biggest problem with the LN series (I haven't seen the anime but I'll assume for the sake of it that its a faithful adaptation) is that he literally never changes, but everyone likes to pretend that its some amazing story about change and growth
Also the magic system is just fucking broken, but the worldbuilding is still good

He literally goes from an obese. balding, 32-year-old Japanese NEET to an attractive young white man who also happens to be the most powerful mage in the world (He would've been top 10 even if he didn't train from a young age because of the fucking Laplace thing, that shit was totally handed to him).
All of his feats are only the result of him getting the best possible reincarnation, not to mention he basically finishes maturing as a character by the time he's done adventuring (volume 8/26)
I have a lot of gripes with the story, but I'd still say its good. If you like isekai and aren't much of a moralGOD I would recommend it. It has a lot of good merits

absolutely true umineko has the best ost out of anything I’ve experienced great standalone songs but still so fucking good at setting atmosphere of making you feel so many emotions so tracks also tingle my brain they have alot of fun and interesting things built into them some even are like a story ig? where it can start of somewhat sad but then it picks up pace as if getting back up to then really getting hype its crazy that one track can do a whole thing like that i also find it cool that there are still some samples in songs we dont know where they are from yet and everything you said is so true big shout outs to dai who is behind most of the tracks and some of the best ones in higurashi also ep7 soundtrack is so goddamn amazing and helps makes the episode stand out so much

did you watch in chronological order, because if you did it explains you why got bored. The original broadcast order was better because it spaces out the most interesting episodes in between the SOL stuff and makes it more of a mystery. Also even if you drop the series you should watch the disappearance movie because its way better than everything else and you don't really need much background to enjoy it
