>>137534My dog died recently and it really put into perspective just how much time I was wasting on imageboards because I really didn't know anything else due to being emotionally neglected as a child. It was a miracle I even had a soytan looking GF with well off parents at one point at all in spite of all that.
At least I got neetbux with little hassle so will probably take that trip to japan my parents encouraged me to take as I've earned it. Had a nice long snca post but will just TL;DR it:
Being repeatedly told to endure hostile environments instead of being encouraged to leave them taught me learned helplessness and made me seriously depressed and lonely, and now I want to stop chasing acceptance from people who don't want to give it.
There's nothing wrong with being okay with your own company and it doesn't matter how many fucking redditors and normies try to gaslight you otherwise. Being bullied does not mean you have "aspergers" or autism according to armchair doctors. Having a partner is an important part of life, at least to me, and anyone trying to downplay your goals and dreams is not someone you want to be around. Relationships can bring their own joys and sorrows but are generally more of a net positive than normies who take them for granted will straight face lie to you about "not missing out on". You can feel both lonelier and happier than being single while in one.
