I remember Scott Cawthon saying that FNAF fangames couldn't be sold, only changing for a few "official" fangames part of a fanverse initiative. I don't want fr00t to get sued nor do I want the game to get taken down. Maybe Scott will think the game is funny and let it stay up.

Releasing it outside of Steam defeats the whole purpose. The whole point of a Steam release was so that soyteens can use animated backgrounds, custom game emojis, etc. associated with the product. If Froot wanted to fully release it outside of Steam, he would have already done so.
