Intelligence is something that cannot be defined, but what can be defined is skill for a certain thing.
The basic principle is that we become good at anything that we do over and over and over, HUGE bonus points if we enjoy the thing and voluntarily spend a lot of time on it.
For example, why do you speak your native language? Because ever since you were a baby, you constantly heard your language and always tried speaking it - even with mistakes, and your brain knew that it was important. If you want to become good at math - just keep doing math exercises over and over. If you have a genuine interest in it, you might dig even deeper and learn more things and even start teaching people yourself.
It's important to know that you can't just magically be good at something. We've all seen those "genuises" in media who instantly become good at anything but, let's face it, all of that is fictional. The most important thing I learned in my life is that there is no "secret trick" to anything. A lot of times it is just effort you have to put in. Nothing else, no optimization tricks or life hacks, but motivation and genuine effort.
Anyway, as I was saying, you can't just be a genius who immediately gets good at something, sorry but you're not special. What matters is how big your interest in that thing is and how many times you repeat it.
>marge but how does this make me smart o algx
Basically, if you want to be perceived as "smart", it is very important to have what are called "spikes". What are spikes? Spikes are things that you are extremely good at/is very knowledgeable about. Let's say you take an interest in something, and learn everything about it. You put it into practice and make sure that you are better/more knowledgeable about it than like 0.1% or 1% of the Earth. This could be anything.
