№951855[Quote]

As a general rule of thumb:
No more than 300mg of caffeine
at least 3200mg beta alanine
6000-8000mg L citrulline
3000-6000mg AAKG
NO creatine (you should be taking that anyway, extra will only dehydrate you)
Anything else is usually added sloppa. Don't buy pre workouts that have 'combined forumlaes' where they don't tell you the actual ingredient amounts. Check for RED 40 and other trashy flavourings, try to avoid aspartame K(potassium)
You can also totally just take caffeine or drink coffee, the extra pump really doesn't do much for actual performance I've found.

Working out first thing works great for me, it really sets me up for the day aswell. It levels me the fuck out, and normal shit doesn't piss me off at all. I can just handle it, yhknow?
<And if you're in collage, then exercising beforehand will actually improve your memory retention.
Resistance training or cardio increases BDNF (brain derived neutrophic factor) which essentially modulates memory formation for a few hours after the session.
Not only upregulating and improving your memory overall, but it improves your memory right after the session too.
All signs in the fitness community point towards working out as soon as you wake up, so I'd aim to keep this routine if I were you

Also just eat gelatin, its the cooked form of collagen, its 10x cheaper and its more absorbable. Collagen is a scam.

The first step in getting physically active is training your discipline. An easier way to stick to your training program is to do it either first thing, or do it immediately after getting home from work or college.
If you get into a habit of training, then it gets much harder to make excuses for yourself when the time comes to exercise.

Most people fuel their fitness motivation off of shit like New Year’s resolutions, breaking up with their partner, being lonely on Valentine’s Day or having a shitty date; and as you can see, that only got them 2 months of activity.
They will let their gym membership run on, and they might come back in a few months when they remember that they’re wasting their time again.
All you have to do is make it to month 3. That’s all you have to do to outperform everyone around you.

Gainz haven't changed, I was lunging with 80kg for about 6 reps last leg day which is pretty nutty, considering I'm always running and cycling for cardio. My leg muscles were definitely more pumped today while I was stretching out.

If you want strength and size then lift weights
If you like cardio then just do some cardio
Weight lifting is pretty easy, you push things on one day, pull things on the next, then hit your legs after that, then take a day off.

is there a way to make bulgarian death squats bearable? i lowkeynuinely feel like passing out at 8th rep and i gotta do 12. i do them after leg press, so they are only the second exercise
№963838[Quote]
>>963776Bulgarian death squats? Do you mean split squats?
I use a smith machine and a I use a thick deadlift plate underneath my squating foot for more range of motion.
They fucking suck. That's why I do them though.
<Leg press is, performative…. You can argue against that but almost any other squatting exercise is superior. I always found that overtraining my legs not only hindered my muscle growth, but reduced my ability to ENJOY leg day.
I only do one quad exercise per leg day, one hamsting exercise, one calf exercise, ab and adductors.
I got my barbell squat up to 182.5kg - 405lbs AFTER reducing the amount of work done to my quads.
So maybe just do split squats and ditch the leg press. I can leg press almost 400kg+ but what does that even mean if it's not as beneficial as other quad exercises?
<If you're sure you're not fatigued, then I can advise you to start doing some cardio here and there. I can go to failure on my squatting lifts much more efficiently now that my VO2 max is higher and my cardio is better :)
№963839[Quote]

So also, just doing them more will make improve your endurance overtime (given that you're not overtraining)

I think everyone is like this with upper/lower body strength, I mean your legs are essentially just massive muscles made to be extremely resilient to fatigue.
Maybe, try and alternate your quad exercises, so one week do split squat -> leg press and next week do barbell squat and leg extensions, so your muscles can heal better.
Lifting is only 20% of the work, the other 80% is all recovery
