That can be really uncomfortable. Groin chafing often happens after walking, running, exercising, hot weather, or wearing clothing that traps moisture.
Based on what you said (and not the drawing, which doesn't show the affected area), here are some things that usually help:
Clean the area gently with lukewarm water and pat it completely dry.
Apply a thin layer of a barrier ointment such as petroleum jelly or a zinc oxide cream to reduce friction and protect the skin.
Wear loose, breathable underwear and clothing until it heals.
Keep the area as dry as you can. If you're sweating a lot, changing into dry clothing can help.
Avoid activities that keep rubbing the area until the soreness improves.
If the skin is already raw, it may sting when anything is applied. Plain petroleum jelly is often one of the least irritating options.
