Hey. So I live in VA, sort of inbetween JMU and UVA. Since my parents divorced I've been living with my dad in his doublewide while I figure out community college. I've always been a pretty outdoorsy teen, I fish the South Fork Shenandoah, hike Old Rag, normal Virginia mountain shit basically geg. Anyway ever since Helene fucked everything up last year doing outdoor shit here has felt really really different. Like the whole mountain moved a lot, the topology is totally different and the area hasn't recovered at all. And first it was just like dead fish washing up with milky eyes and shit, just looking really gross and dirty and oily, and I kinda thought it was normal flood die off, because again I'm from the mountains, I don't have much experience with flooding. But then the deer started looking weird too. I wish I had a pic but I saw this dead buck by the river two weeks ago when I was driving, and I swear to God it's legs were twice the length they should've been. Anyway has anyone else in like the Rockingham/Page county area been seeing weird animals too? Or am I just schizo geg?
