Watching the Outsider series before I sleep tonight. I am on episode 3. It is okay so far, seems like a pure thriller atm, but I read that supernatural elements start to kick in later.
Turns out I really only like horror shows or movies. Or if thriller, it needs to have horror.
This proves that thriller and horror can cross over, but they can also be two seperate genres.

Servant, 30 Coins, and the Exorcist are peak horror show that didnt leave a bad taste in my mouth.
Marianna overall is the best horror TV show, but there were a few scenes that are nigger af.
And Midight Mass was pretty good.
Channel Zero 1-3 was good. But 4th season added blacks as the main characters.

For kids, it's one of the few recent movies that actually tried to to boys (the hero is a boy, with two male mentors, the women are second fiddle). My 5 years old son really liked the movie. He is king of based. He told my wife, after she passed the vaccum, that she should stop working and clean the house full time.

I am on the last episode of Midnight Mass.
There is pretty much one main brown character, and in the second last episode he goes on a monologue about how no matter what he does, people see him as Osama Bin Laden. This is a series where the dei hires couldnt ruin it. It is a solid TV show.
In Midnight Mass, there are a few moments where you can tell it was roastie coded, mainly the scenes with excessive dialogue or topics about trauma. Unfortunately, any thing that involves girls, will have some garbage in it. Overall, the series is very solid. 10% garbage.

This Mike Flanagan guy makes some good horror shows. I will check out his other shows after this one.
