I wrote this essay yesterday, can't help but feel like it influenced this decision in some way. most people seemed to agree with me so perhaps quotecord saw that and assumed they could fuck with rule 2 with the userbase's approval.
but, a big part of what I was saying was that kuz/doll were able to allow pedo jokes without the site becoming niggerhell because they also actively moderated it and micromanaged it to ensure that the site retained its culture, quality, and purpose. meanwhile you just know that if quotecord were actually ballsy enough to fully allow pedo jokes, they'd just let being a pedophile become the new bait meta. and the way they're doing it right now, they aren't ballsy enough to do that, they're only ballsy enough to allow smuglet BBC shit. before now they had no real justification for it, but now they can go "well actually there IS no rule against pedo jokes, and smuglet is obviously a joke right?" (as if gigaquoting pedos isn't more obviously a joke and less likely to be masking real degeneracy)
the site's current moderation is the most blatant example of anarcho-tyranny. if jannies goon to it it's fine, they don't give a fuck what the userbase think about something, all that matters is how they feel about it. the site is literally owned now by the niggers who thought arguing over what color cock the ongezellig girls were built for or spamming soylita blacked edits were the funniest shit ever back in the day. people will tell you that's a good thing, because the site is going back to it's roots or some shit, but 'teens thought it was coal back then too, because it was. not because it was pedophilic (albeit it certainly was), but because it's NAS brimstone that coals up the 'log and makes the site more insufferable. because we had jannies that micromanaged the stie back then, those threads would usually get deleted if they got past a certain number of replies, or if some niggers was spamming them incessantly. quote won't do that. he'll just let the 'log be fully comprised of smuglet BBC shit and go "just ignore it nusoi" if you dare to complain.
