That's really interesting. On my computer, if I want to use an app or game, I doubleclick the desktop shortcut and it launches. That doesn't seem anywhere near as fun as linux though, maybe I'll get into it. Also, where can I buy high quality striped stockings?

Well, it's about installing programs here, not launching them. The main difference between all forms of linux is basically how you install programs. In stuff like Debian you got some basic programs already and you can download most from a package library by going "sudo apt install [program]"

Arch linux is a barebones distro with a somewhat more complicated installation than just pressing a few buttons (writing commands and following the instructions on the manual) and you technically put together the OS yourself (partitioning, installing software, drivers, DEs, TWMs etc. )

Mainstream multiplayer goyvidya yeah. I use loonix on my laptop and use goydows on my desktop pc, so I can play vidya with no issues while doing the browsing and studying on my laptop. Other than that, most games run well on linux with a compatibility layer
