Is the transfem punk rock/grungecore/screamo stereotype true here?

So I know many of us certainly have our whimsical faerie pillow princess aspects, but does anyone else have a darker side? Like a deathcore emo aspect that comes out when your primal rage gets triggered?

If so, what are some of the things that trigger your primal deathcore emo rage? And what are some of the artists/albums/songs you turn to in those moments?

For me, I go back to my angsty playlists from way back when I was in high school; including bands like Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Seether, AFI, Avenged Sevenfold… (I literally used to call it my KYS playlist 🤦🏻♀️ back when I was still young and naïve about how I use my words).

What else is there, Evanescence, Paramore, Linkin Park, Green Day, Emarosa? Basically all the bands that the emo girls I was friends with at the time introduced me to…

Anyone else have an angsty rage playlist for moments of existential dread and hopelessness? I’m trying to crowdsource to expand my own horizons, so feel free to contribute your own picks to the discussion!

Edit: wow, this really blew up! I didn’t expect such a tremendous response. Thank you everyone who commented, but there’s been so many at this point that I’m not able to respond to everyone. I appreciate all the suggestions though, and I’ll be saving this post as a resource for the next time I’m looking for suggestions in that genre. For now though, my mood has passed, so maybe in the morning I’ll make another post seeking mellow, peaceful recommendations 😅
