It was inevitable that the rate of gemmy nuvariant production would drastically slow down as 'jaks were produced to fill every niche and expression one by one. You should only really make a nuvariant if it's filling some kind of purpose or you believe could be a direct improvement over an older 'jak for said niche. There's nothing wrong with edits and high-quality gems made with 'jaks we already have.
