Bring at least 3 flashights in case the other two fail. If one flashlight fails, imediately retreat.
Bring food and water in case you get trapped by a cavein.
Knife is obvious. Bring a gun too if you are american.
A durable rope can be useful too if you can spare the weight, like to be able to climb down from the second floor.

And maybe cosider a light breeching tool.
And of course durable waterproof clothing adjusted for the temperature.

just say you're an inspector or engineer or something, a higher ranking position. I'm at university for engineering and it's common for them to go out and inspect stuff in the field. also many autists in that profession geg.
