Every thread has people trying to out-edgy each other, forcing jokes that don't land, pretending to have some insane opinion just to get a reaction, or repeating the same phrases because they saw someone else get laughs for it.

The funniest posts are usually from people who aren't trying. Someone just says what they actually think and it ends up being way more entertaining than another forced "look how crazy I am" post.

Feels like a lot of people are scared to just have a normal conversation because they think it makes them look boring.

Do you think the board got less funny because people started trying too hard, or was it always like this and we just got older?
