However, the catch is when the story finishes, you are left with nothing but the unshakeable feeling of doom, that you'll never know what happens next with the characters that became so close to you; that you'll never have such an interesting life as was told in the story; that friendship and love doesn't work like that in the real world. Do you get what I'm saying? I don't read books/comics/manga, I don't watch tranime/movies/series anymore because I feel incredibly bad after each of them ends. I hate it.

But fighting escapism is a battle of a lifetime, especially in a our modern world where it exists everywhere.

i feel nothing when i watch most shows, i just view it as passive entertainment even if i try and get engrossed. it sounds faggy but one of the only shows i can think that i actually cared about was azumanga daioh because i truly liked all of the characters and wanted to see them do well
