Am I the only one who feels like humans ultimately dont matter? What i will say is selfish but i think it has truth to it. Socializing, making friends, caring about social status and other stuff is just purely irrational and not needed in the modern world. Those things exist because social approval and such were needed when we were cavemen and social approval did decide if we died or lived or not.
But in the modern world none of it matters, if you want to succeed and live the life you want, to thrive in life you do everything alone. You only decide and work for your grades in school, you alone take exams and those exam results only impact you, your admissions to whatever university is decided by your merit alone and your choices.
Your job application, whether you get promoted or not, your salary and money, its all up for you to work alone for, other humans dont matter at all.
All of that just to say, friends arent needed, social approval isnt needed, caring about other humans is useless. As a child, i was always alone and i am alone now, i never cared or understood why other humans matter so much
