pick 1 language preferably low-level so branching out is easier later (c++)

find out what ppl do with that language and pick up a textbook around that topic (OS / networking / databases)

pick up another textbook. repeat until u have sufficient foundational knowledge. / u have a reason to go deep on a specific topic

u should be half reading half building things

its a marathon not a sprint
