does anybody else get random thoughts in their mind that guide their day-to-day actions and reactions? for example, when im walking around outside, i usually get thoughts like "if i don't make it past that crack in the pavement before the chorus of this song starts, something bad will happen" which will cause me to increase my walking pace, or "if i can count to 33 before i go through this door, (bad thing) won't happen to me later", which can lead to me standing in front of a door without actually going through until im done. those are examples of common, frequent thoughts, but sometimes it's just random things. for example, today i had the thought that if i didn't piss in the sink, something bad would happen to me, so i pissed in the sink, although i made sure to wash it out afterwards.

I sort of do this or used to do it but it's more imagining things like what if this table I'm sitting at randomly, magically expands in a 2D plane, slicing me in half, or what if through sheer random chance, all the particles in my body get quantum teleported into the center of the Sun, or underground, etc.

You guys are fun, I don't do dis but I like to think similarly as a joke, most of the time not actually following through.

>>15864015>When I was a kid I would convince myself that if I looked at the clock and the numbers were uneven numbers, id have bad luck that dayi look to the clock and interpret the numbers to inform my corresponding actions. i know it sounds silly to some people but it really does have its merits, there are good numbers and bad numbers and their meanings can be traced perennially throughout human culture, religion and mysticism. it informs my decisions and i don't like doing things when there's a bad number like eleven or thirteen, like posting a thread or submitting an assignment because of its negative connotations and inherent jaggedness. i also don't keep an uneven number of tabs open on my computer, even if they're good numbers like seven or three.
>>15864053i don't think it's ocd and if it is then its a super mild subtype. real ocd is debilitating from what ive heard, people not able to leave their home because they're scared that if they dont check the oven timer 83 times their house will go up in flames
