I love Mario games. Just because soyboys like it doesn't mean it sucks. On that note noontendo hasn't made a good mario game since odyssey. And even then odyssey show a degrade in quality. The best Mario games are 3, World, 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy. Despite being bland, the New Super Mario Bros games are fine, before U at least which introduces ONE powerup which is just a reskin of the Tanooki leaf and the propeller hat from the prior game. The Mario & Luigi series also isn't as raped by troons as RPG and Paper Mario and is much more mechanically interesting than both of those. Mario Kart is Mario Kart, what would you expect. Super Mario 3D World is also cool but it's a dollar store version of the actual 3D Mario games. Also, Nintendo is allergic to having multiplayer. Galaxy 2 is my favorite Mario game of all time doe. I'm autistic btw if that matters.

I hate the Mario movies because they make Peach a powerful woman of color which makes having Mario kinda pointless cuz she could beat up Bowser's ass on her own. Also, I hate Peach as a character because she's been friend zoning Mario for way too long when she's been getting piped by the aryan giga Bowser the whole time. The new entries as well are losing that edge that Mario always had. Despite it being a kid's game, Mario had some freaky aspects about it. For example, if you touch black matter in Mario galaxy, you get to see Mario get erased from existence in front of you. In most 3d Mario games, Mario has some disturbing (for little cacas) death animations when he drowns. They do not keep this anymore. They make him look more child friendly. Switch and Switch 2 are not giga consoles. Wii U is also ass.

Yes, but From Mario Oddessey onwards it's incredibly overrated. And Nintendo has fallen off like a rock so hard that the OoT remake rumors have me as anxious as I am about the Halo remake. When a company gets undeserved praise, they start failing hard. Soyboys really do ruin everything.

>>15829344Halo stopped being good after reach. Just like Mario stopped being good after Odyssey. The first actual major Mario release after it was Wonder in 2023 (6 fucking years). And wonder is ass. Nintendo is fat and fucking lazy.

>>15829426Funnily enough, both Reach and Odyssey are where the cracks started showing in the series. A billion low effort moons is not engaging gameplay unless you're 5 or a soyboy nostalgiafag. The mistakes in Reach are more nuanced.

>>15829651Reach was very experimental and due to the sprint mechanic it changed how the game played fundamentally. Also the weapon bloom.
â„–15829816[Quote]
>>15829691And armor abilities also throw another wrench into the gameplay. Even people who don't know the buttery smooth, beautifully simplistic movement of CE-ODST like the back of their hand know something is always a touch off in Reach and later games. Sprint automatically destroys the flow of movement and turns it into a generic modern shooter that blends into the background. Sprint is the biggest offender. Maps had to be stretched out, and that made it so weapons need a lot more range, but to keep crossmapping toned down they had to put bloom on the weapons. Grenades and explosions had to be buffed to near-CE or better levels as well, which is admittedly fine in pve, but ruins pvp by encouraging obnoxious grenade spam in tighter areas. That caused them to make even the dedicated close quarters areas larger, which took a massive steaming dump on melee combat, a crucial part of Halo's combat triangle, in pve and pvp.
Halo is not managed by people who understand or even like it, they're a bunch of horrid faggots that need to be sent straight into the grinder for messing with one of the handful of things that can actually calm my chronic anxiety. The only saving grace for Halo at this point is the mod tools and the fact that UE5 will be easy to mod.

>>15829816CE did have the best sandbox because it wasn't biased completely towards precision weapons or noob combo. Also they should have brought back the shotgun, it was fine the way it was in CE.

>>15829829All true. CE is a little weird with the AR being simply outclassed by the PR in nearly all cases outside of popping flood infection forms, but that's nothing a slight tweak couldn't fix. If I remember right, the AR was better in the original CE on the original Xbox, and something to do with the framerate increase makes the one in MCC much more inaccurate.
CE takes a few hours to get into, but once you get to 343 Guilty Spark, the gameplay seriously clicks. ODST is second best as it comes closest to this feeling. I used to be all in on the "2 and 3 play best" crowd for many years, but over the last 6 or so years, I see that's not really true. They're still really great, but CE really does something to pull you in.
