Then the newfags will learn enough stuff within about 2 months or so (helped both by the structure of the sites culture, aswell as stuff like the wiki and soybooru, etc), to start shilling the site to more newfags themselves
And since the main demographic of newfags are 14 year old groypers, thats lead us to today, where anime is seen as le bad, because its le bad, and no other actual reason.
I've seen it go on the decline recently though, mainly because the previous popular reasonings (or more precisely: excuses) have started to be mocked
