I'm applying for UK PhDs and the process is awful so far. I did really well in my master's so I thought it wouldn't be that hard, but so far it's 2 rejections, 2 acceptances but one without funding, one funding pending. due to starting the process a bit later I only had time to apply for 4 places in the UK this year and if the funding doesn't come through on this final application I will have to wait a whole year and reapply but this time actually going for places in US and elsewhere
