Never, calling it "brimstone winter" really understates what's happening. The name is a reference to nuclear winter which is where smoke or soot (just like mein hecking admin) covers the sky causing the atmosphere to get cold and uninhabitable, this is more like radiation after a brimstone nuke, it never really goes away.
