I think the path to decoding it is the following:
Recognize patterns in words and map the alpabet to supposed sounds.
I found the alphabet online, but someone probably did all of this already doe
Use the alpabet+sound mapping to make transcriptions for words
Find similar words in Italian or wherever this came from
