LOOKING FOR A BASSIST FOR A ROCK/METAL BAND BASED THROUGH DISCORD!!!!!
hey!! i don't usually really post on tumblr aside from reblogging but
i'm the frontwoman for a discord-based band of various rock/metal subgenres (especially metalcore, post-hardcore, electronicore, and some post-grunge)… kinda silly i know. anyway!
we are currently in search of a bassist, someone who's good enough to play for a band + has an interface or some generally viable way to record.
the band is called Auric Slate (one of the other members chose the band name off of Auric Tesla from Terraria Calamity), and the whole idea is that a lot of the music we will make is very nerdcore-ish, think Ice Nine Kills if it were autistic and about quite obscure interests (i have a lot of song ideas about 2008-2015 rpg maker horror games in my head, lmao). it won't be all of our songs, but it is a general theme rn lol
i also would rather have someone who is supportive of queer folks of all identities, all of us in the band are LGBTQIA+ in some way, and four of us are trans in some way. and considering the nerdcore idea, i do NOT want cringe culture mfs in this band. if you believe being UNRIONICALLY AND NOT PARODICALLY cringe is being based and free, then yes you're welcome to reach out
one more thing before i conclude this post! keep in mind if we do have a new bassist you'd be the eighth member (yeah, it's a lot ik…). we have two clean vocalists (i'm one of them), two guitarists (one of which is also our harsh vocalist), a keyboardist, a person who does all the audio programming stuff like electronics and strings and whatever else, and a drummer…. so yeah, it's quite a crowd! (but to be fair it'd be less members than, say, slipknot or even mushroomhead)
