Would you guys would like to know the wizards of my fantasy setting that I'm currently building? If so, here are some trending trivia about them:

>To become a Wizard, one must be a man, be in his twenties, be smart, and be mentally sound.
>Magic is about imposing one's own will onto creation, and to impose, you have to concentrate and rhyme it. You cannot just concentrate really hard by rhyming a spell and thinking about it. That's not how it works. You have to anchor your mind to the immaterial. It's done through a very, very secret ritual among Wizards. This is an initiation rite for new wizards, where it is assisted by older experienced Wizards, or spirits, which are usually Pagan or possibly Demonic. It is basically opening one's third eye/anchoring them to the immaterial.
>Magic causes insanity among Men. This is because the mind of a man is not built for it.
>The origins of magic is that in the garden, after Adam and Eve ate from the fruit of knowledge and good and evil, the Devil proceeded to start teaching Adam magic, stolen power from the Elves.
>The insanity-inducing effects of magic, as is a natural consequence of it, of men using it. After men were kicked out of the garden, God spoke to Adam. Other than making him burdened to the soil, he told him that, for his sons had stolen power from the Elves with the help of the Devil, they will now flay their minds, for it is not truly their power to receive it.
>After initiation to a wizard lodge, the new wizard must take a vow of secrecy, and all wizards in his lodge are now brothers in arms, and rival lodges and wizard societies are considered rivals. Gang wars are common among wizards.
>The true religion of Wizards is Gnostic Satanism. They believe the Devil was a giver of knowledge to Man, and God is a jailer, and the material realm is fake and bad, and they must escape through magic. But in public, wizards act like typical "pious churchgoers, believing God and His coming Son".
>Court Wizards often hold significant political power in the court, often influencing the decisions of the king (Or reigning queen).
>The Church cannot just ban Wizardry outright, too much political power within Wizards, and also wizards themselves are quite useful, they help in armies to fight Orcs and Dragons, while some are just silly entertainers using magic tricks, and the Church's Holy Inquisition does heavily monitor and restrict the activity of Wizards, causing resentment.
>Many secret meetings among Wizards often start with getting a skull of a dead man, dressing him up in as the High Pontifex, and declaring that the Church/God & His coming Son is an enemy of Man and reason. While the Devil is a liberator, a giver of knowledge, a Promethean figure who "helps Mankind through reason and magic".
>Vulpines (Fox People who do banking), are often allies with Wizards, and the reason why Vulpines are even allies with Wizards is to share animosity towards the Church. Vulpines are commonly persecuted for usury and often kicked out. They are also seen as honorary Wizards, often invited in the Lodge, revealing secrets to them, and Vulpines never reveal them to the public.
>Other than political and practical protection, Wizards are also protected through finance, with help from their allies.
>Wizards and Vulpines dominate in intellectualism, and they often promote egalitarian or proto-left-wing ideas, and they're often "reformers", quote-unquote, even though many of those reforms conveniently put them into power and often dismantle traditional systems.
>Former Wizards who become whistleblowers for the Church, and often trying to expose secrets, are mysteriously killed.
What do you guys think?
