Unpopular Opinion: Minecraft is a Bad Game
Now, before you go and type hate comments, i want to say that this is MY opinion, and every other opinion is allowed, now lets begin

At first i wanted to analyze the core singleplayer experience, while as a sandbox game it is unmatched, the main singleplayer game we see for a normal player that isnt a building fan is lots of grinding:

Mine a lot, kill a lot of mobs for XP, re-enchant until you have the best enchantments, farm over and over to trade with villagers etc. and that exact grind is what people hate the most in moder games.The game is constantly updated with new features, but still you get bored of them after like 2-3 hours.

The COOP part is indeed a bit more fun, but still boils down to the same thing + messing with your friends

The Multiplayer is the most fun thing, I will take Hypixel as the example since its by far the biggest server it has some fun modes like Bedwars, build battle, heroes and other gamemodes, but if you look at the player list, most people are Playing Skyblock, which even more boils down to grinding

That is why in my opinion minecraft at its basics is a bad game, let me know your opinions in the comment section below
