the theory goes that jannies have the ability to "suppress" threads. meaning they cannot be seen on the 'dex or 'log by any IP that hasn't already posted on it. some random IP's are exempt from these restrictions.

EVIDENCE BACKING THIS UP
some threads can have large amounts of activity only for all of a sudden to have the activity drop or disappear completely, some threads can have the OP spam "up" 1488 times and stay at the top of the 'log without any new reppeys whatsoever.

HOW TO PREVENT SUPPRESSION
spam the link to your suppressed thread in other, active, non-suppressed threads.
