>>14595787I do this sometimes but I think the reason this is so uncommon nowadays (unless people want to sound serious) is because using a period to mark the end of a sentence isn't really necessary anymore, like on messaging apps and even here you only need to use them to break up sentences in long paragraphs because each post is already separated on its own and that kind of punctuation would be redundant (.)
