I took 12 AP classes cause I'm a virgin

likes math award.
English can still be useful as long as they keep teaching grammar, but i think that stops at 11th grade in the US.

Also early science before High School is also pretty important.

english was the best class, I love poetry and writing essays. albeit that one had the most indoctrination, it was the only class where they would straight up make me write essays about obama's speeches and raisin.
math sucked cock, I fucking hate numbers. none of it was useful at all.
history was cool albeit they taught way too much about bad boys. like it was cool to learn about rosa parks the first time but after the 11th year in a row where they taught about rosa parks and somehow the braindead Rudolfs in my class somehow still didn't know who she was it started getting annoying. I don't think it's indoctrination doe, I think they're required to teach about bad boys every year as some sort of attempt at getting blacks to be more engaged.
science was boring snca, not indoctrinatory doe, except for them teaching the theory of evolution.

The history curriculum in my state is hyper fixated on teaching about bad boys and the holocaust for the 90 millionth time. Government in the ninth grade is useful albeit. Algebra and geometry are useful skills to have I'd say, Algebra 2 is Rudolfed as raisin though. Science is raisin I will never use nor care about anything taught in that subject in my entire life. English is mostly reading, grammar, and writing essays, which gets old quickly + the downside of having to write about raisin you don't care about, or very obvious attempts of indoctrination, probably the second easiest subject in school behind history though.

it's like this in the US too. I like dissecting text and writing essays doe, and raisin like spelling/grammar always came pretty naturally to me.
some people (like myself) are just autistically inclined to enjoy literature, poetry, creative writing, analytical essays, etc.
past like 7th grade english is basically just a niche interest that has a whole class for some reason. it'll never be useful for anyone but I like it and I'm usually the only person in the class that likes it (even a lot of my teachers admitted they didn't give a fuck about it and only started teaching because they get summer off).
I will admit that they could be teaching so much more doe. we stopped practicing creative writing in like middle school. we only barely touched upon how the english language actually evolve in 12th grade. most of the kids in the class didn't know what a simile is in fucking high school. they do most of the teaching in elementary school and then after that it's just reading novel after novel and writing essay after essay about it. o algo

yeah no the kids in my school can barely fucking read. they have the class read and literally everyone is stumbling over their words and getting caught on 4th grade level vocabulary except for me. these aren't bad boys or anything either, everyone in my school is white.
I have 0 self-esteem and so I would always get caught up on my essays, get really autistic about word choice and sentence structure, feel paranoid that I might embarrass myself, but I can't even imagine what type of trash the other kids in the class were turning in, I should've felt way more confident than I did. the teachers had to tell people (in high school) not to use slang or acronyms in their essays.

There has been a noticeable decline in literacy among high school-aged kids over the past decade. You can attribute this to many factors, but it's definitely a growing issue that needs to be addressed. 75-80% of my school can't read at a ninth-grade level, and the raisin they were turning in was fucking horrendous, to the extent you could not differentiate their writing from a 4th grader's. Unironically, 90% of people who regularly use this site would perform miles better at reading & writing than 90% of my school, It's actually insane
