also tbh I don't think ban reasons are entirely necessary, jannies have the ability to provide none or type out custom reasons already. like half of the rules on the rules page right now should just be a given, like "You WILL NOT attempt to get the site taken down" or "You WILL NOT spam false reports", and having them feels like clutter on the rules page that makes the site look more rulecucked than it actually is.

also I think the second half is more of a quote era issue. if jannies/mods were more open about their intentions 'teens would be far less leaky. as I said, if I were admin and I were to try to implement such a change, I would probably try to inform the userbase of my intentions beforehand through a stickied thread announcing it, doe if quote were to do it he'd probably randomly remove rule 2 one day and then tell like 3 people in IRC why he did it.

meanwhile, while these shotanigger pedo retards are able to blend in on this site for extended periods of time, the people who actually are facing the wrath of rule 2 are mostly just giggers and retards forgetting their arrow, which has resulted in rule 2 being seen as basically just a punchline on this site. nobody takes it seriously and yet everyone does at the same time, every thread inevitably derails into pedophilia discussion because getting the other person banned for pedophilia is a surefire way to win an argument on this site, and so the aim is to bring the topic to pedophilia and then hope the other person is either an ESL retard that ends up accidentally saying something they don't mean or an undercover jartycuck that will brap so hard that xhey accidentally leak that they have a 'p folder. or alternatively, you go "if you do (x) then you're a pedophile" and then hope the other person either does it or fucks off, because the fact that forgetting an arrow is a death sentence gives 'teens the impression that something as silly as "soyquote if you're a pedophile" could actually be effective at getting someone banned.
it's very frustrating, because it's obvious that there are genuine pedo niggers lurking amongst us, and yet calling them out will get you accused of being le HTSM because the entire topic of pedophilia has become so obnoxious thanks to the "BREATHE IF YOU'RE A PEDO" types I mentioned earlier that most will instantly dismiss it, and so it gives pedos a shield to hide behind.
