You have to rid yourself of the preconception that normies are logical. Their entire thought process is "does believing XYZ make me fit in better with the crowd?" If so, they believe it, and if not, they don't. Normies are almost universally incapable of independent survival, so disagreement is genuinely dangerous for them.
