It seems to me part of the problem is that people just post anything and assume they are owed attention and praise for their shitty jaks, so they just spam them until they either realize they won't or they don't realize this and keep spaming them. I generally don't bother posting any shitty jaks I make unless someone specifically requested it and I am the only one who made them. Or it is bad in a funny way. If people were more discerning, if they made a jak and realized it didn't work, or if they posted it and made oc and no one really liked it they didn't try and force it for like 3 months straight the state of nuvariants and jakking would be better. But I am new, so I don't really know, I wasn't around for any 'golden' ages.

the artists making them can make better 'jaks if they wanted to but choose not. just like the satisfaction of ripping a stinky fart before you leave a room or driving too slow intentionally inconveniencing and irritating everybody around is the same as drawing jaks with punchable faces spamming them knowing they will never catch on. people like this are common in all societies but the sharty attracts more of them because of our nature as a troll website
