>>13917305Sorry I'm being a bit retarded, I know why requiring ids online makes people mad, what I meant was that I think the internet should've been like that from the beginning, and then people wouldn't have to rely on it so much nowadays to express their opinions. Ideally, you would be allowed to be racist in public and whatnot. But it's a double edged sword. Anonymity just enables people to be way worse degenerates than they would be otherwise, but if there was no anonymity on the internet then they would have to deal with that being connected to their real identity instead of a "mask"
I would rather not have to use my driver's license to post anywhere on the internet but only because I'm used to it being this way and society has grown around this being the norm, but it ultimately makes society worse.
