When i say this is dishonest what I’m saying is that most drug abusers are sinners right, Its not just as easy as telling a drug addict recently trying to quit to “just stop” while yes you can “just stop” you disregarding and possibly other steps to it depending on what your goal and/or that you have to shift ones mindset, something im attempting to do right now.

I think even with drugs its a kindof poor excuse.
All it takes to stop quitting would be to admit it to a family member or friend and get them to check if you've actually stopped using, and going to a methadone clinic which are everywhere nowadays and free.
Staying on drugs requires as much if not more effort, and wayy more money than quitting. (hiding your stash, stealing to fuel your addiction, going to your dealer)
Some people lock themselves in their garage to quit and that even works.
My point is that these people wanted to quit, whereas the people who continue using never wanted to stop in the first place.
There's nothing you can do to change the mindset of a druguser that doesn't want to quit because its a decision they've already made.
