I've been around some white/asian mutts, if they pass as asian it doesn't look bad, especially if they got the height of their white parent but theres some with hair and nose of a white person with asian eyes and face.
Also a lot of these couples will be an ugly white male with a pretty/mid asian girl since he couldn't get a white girl, so that might be why. 2 people that are good looking will produce a good looking child most of the time regardless of the race.
