I don't know what to do. I’m 22. I don’t have any friends, and I have never had a girlfriend. I don’t even have a basic education; I can’t do math or grammar. I have to use a secondary program to fix my grammatical errors as I type this. I wasted my childhood and teens being glued and addicted to games and social media. The worst thing is that I didn’t even like it. Sure, it was stimulating, but I always had a pit in my stomach.

I’m not angry; I’m just sad. I wish the internet never existed, and I could have had a normal life growing up, playing with other kids outside instead of being stuck in a dark room all by myself.

I totally get the tranime obsession with isekai; I would sell my soul if it meant I could get to experience the life I never had. I feel like I have never lived.

Optofag here to tell you it's never too late, chud :)

Thanks for using my 'toss brah this was literally made for /r9k/. Listen to this guy >>83252
22 isn't that old im saying this as someone younger than you I don't think it's over till you turn 30. It's never too late to start, sure you wasted time but what can you do now? All you can do is move forward and at 22 I don't think it's too late to start living at all, you can definitely still change your life

 83257[Quote]

can you write a paragraph without the secondary program?

I appreciate the encouragement. I have tried to self-improve since I were 16, but it’s hard to improve your social skills when you have nobody to talk to. If had the education I would try to get a job in a place with people my own age, but if you can’t do basic math and writing it’s hard not to embarrass yourself, let alone find a job or even get further educated.

>>83257
Not without a lot of typos and misplaced commas.

If you can't write a paragraph without a autism aids and colorful heckin communication buttons aspiemashing them together to get your live-in caretaker to get your lowfunctioning-ass KFC and a pumpkin-spice latte, then there's probably a lot more wrong than 'bro my childhood bro, bro le internets did this to mi ou algo' you might be genuinely retarded instead.

 83267[Quote]

>>83264
I have gotten my IQ checked nothing impressive but not retarded either, the same as my peers. My teachers and parents just didn’t really care, so I spent all my time in school daydreaming about video games instead of learning.

In the first grade my teachers bullied me, so I didn’t want to have anything to do with school.

One teacher bullied me but the others were complicit, but it was enough for little me to give up, which I reap the consequences of now. When I was in 6th grade I wanted to relearn but I were so far behind and my teachers didn’t have the time or resources for me.

 83271[Quote]

>>83267
sure, that sucks and all. But if my ESL ass can learn english through pirated james bond movies and imageboards I'm sure you can too.

 83272[Quote]

>>83271
I’m ESL as well. I learned English from video games and movies too, but it’s the grammar that’s bothering me, regrettably, in my own language as well.

 83274[Quote]

>>83272
I never really thought about grammar, but I don't have any problems with my native language either which probably helps.
Probably the fault of your parents, I've heard acquiring other languages is more difficult if you struggle with your mother tongue.
The first couple of years are the most important for learning to speak, if you don't get the tenses by then there's nothing school can fix.

Are you saying it's over for him

 83276[Quote]

>>83275
It's 100% over for languagecels. If momma just neglected you it's fucking over.

 83277[Quote]

you can try to still learn languages after, but if you don't have a good grasp on your mother tongue its certainly hard.
There were a bunch of kids raised by chimps o algo that recovered their ability to speak in their teens. I don't know exactly when that becomes impossible, maybe 21-24.
You'd also have to learn the language in a different way because you dont have a basis to work off of.

 83278[Quote]

>>83277
It mostly writing that’s hard albeit

 83279[Quote]

>>83278
But i would probably learn it if had someone to teach me it. It’s just so embarrassing

 83280[Quote]

>>83278
Yeah but its grammar too, you just said that here >>83272
You're supposed to just get it by age 5 or 6 (normally)
Spelling can be brute-forced easily. Just type the word into google translate, hit that lil speaker button and write it down 6 gorillion times and say it out loud.
When I was little I'd decompose more complicated english words into smaller ones I already understood, but that probably did jack shit tbh.

 83281[Quote]

Buy a bunch of solid grammar books that cover everything from A1 to C2. Write as much as you can and read constantly. Get a Kindle and mark every complicated word - it has a great flashcard feature that you can use. If you are under 25 your brain is still malleable. Use that neuroplasticity while you still can. Your parents neglected you and that sucks but there is no time to waste. Learn the language because it is EXTREMELY important. Do not think it is over. If you fuck up you can always kill yourself later. Right now you have to just focus on learning.

Just letting you know im in the same boat and you're not alone

Do things in your life. Like going to gym, read books, play an instrument, fishing, cooking, learn programming. Hobbies will make a value in your living. For friends and a girlfriend, just go outside. Even you if couldn't find one, fresh air is always good.

Same but I’ve decided to sell my life to ZOG before I become you and hopefully find another job after serving (I picked a skill transferable trade)

Look into education/job programs in your area, at least get started with taking care of yourself

I got all my current friends through work or my last year of education. So unless you are stuck in a dead end spot I see no reason why you couldn't make new friends in whatever place you find yourself. What sucks is losing your old circle due to having different jobs or people moving far away. Really sucked watching it last two of my life long ones become pure 'cord obsessed weirdos who never wanna hang.

Dating wise? No clue man. I thought one girl was in to me. Had her over and was invited to her birthday. Even accepted when I asked her out to the movies or a date. Never let me pay her end for whatever reason. Same guy that motivated me to try asking her out, told me one day to just ask how she felt about me. Got friendzoned and then things just fizzled out from there.

If I wasn't such a shut in, fat and lazy I might stand a greater chance with girls but I just don't see a way of meeting anybody where I am at in life right now. Got no income, no neetbucks and no type of education I can start in the middle of the year besides mabye online courses which others warn me are scams.

 83337[Quote]

Hey OP, I used to struggle with grammar too. A lot of the time it simply comes from not having spent much time using the language. If you spend a lot of time gaming or just being online without writing or reading much, it is easy to fall behind. Like any other skill, it improves with practice. The more you read, write, and communicate, the more natural it becomes.

Also remember that language is something created and used by people. It is not some mysterious talent that only a few are born with. Because it is a manmade system, it follows patterns and rules that can be learned step by step. Millions of people learn new languages every year, and many reach very high levels like C2 even later in life.
