The far-right has a tendency to lack any self-awareness, blaming things on others instead. They are also EXTREMELY against changing anything about themselves for the better, and they would much rather cry about the world than to go out and try literally anything fucking else. That's not to say that their points are 100% false, there is truth to what they say, but they define slacktivism as much as the left does.

My advice is to question everything and to find your own ground in this increasingly retarded world. Taking breaks from the internet and just doing nothing while thinking for like 30 minutes is also a good idea. Don't let emotions control you.

Actually answering the question, yeah, Ideologies can impact people negatively. Think of the extreme ones like cults. Cults get desperate and depressed people to believe in their ideas which are often based on truth. That's why a lot of cults have Christian roots, everyone knows who Jesus is and what he did, so it's much easier to progressively insert ideas that can be easily abused, than if you pulled shit out of your ass and claimed that a god told you everything.

Now apply this same logic, but replace all mentions of religion with politics.
The far-left gets you with emotions, the far-right gets you with facts. One believes that you are better than everyone WITHIN THEIR GUIDELINES (which are often fantasy), and the other is so realistic that nothing seems to matter anymore.
I realize that it's quite hard to define ALL right-wingers this way because too many of them are split up into different groups of their own, like

>the chuddies
>the traditionalists/conservatives
and so on, but they all follow a set of rules their forefathers gave them, and that depends on the culture.

Definitely, but someone who's deep into their chosen ideology eventually stops thinking autonomously, and only follows what their "prophets" tell them.
That's why it's important to take a break and analyze everything you see, because maybe there's something you don't truly agree with.

Alot of people on here are extremists and because of that they aren't able to express their views or advocate for their ideology in public, which leads to them becoming isolated.
